Joe Brooks has never been comfortable in front of the camera. With a family (wife Carrie and son Sebastian) pictures were a must but Joe hated sitting for them. He would smile for a couple, then insist “That’s enough. Now let me take some.” He was always more comfortable behind the camera, taking pictures of important events – birthdays, Sebastian’s swim meets, vacations, as well as everyday life. The camera eventually became a part of Joe.
What was once a hobby became a passion. Finally Joe decided to quit the insurance business (with all the stress) and make a living doing what he enjoyed.
Joe wants to be sure you are comfortable in front of the camera. He never felt at ease there so he strives to make your experience relaxed and enjoyable. The best photographs are made that way!

Why don’t we have a photography studio?
Cost is the obvious answer. Also, the drive to a studio often results in wrinkled clothes. But most importantly, we don’t have a studio because of the freedom it provides. Not having a studio presents us with limitless possibilities. Your portraits can be taken in that special location; we can include belongings other photographers won’t allow or wouldn’t think of including in your photograph; it allows us to really capture those special moments. We can come to your home or most anywhere you want. We can even offer suggestions if you don’t have the perfect place in mind.
